Sunday at 8:00 AM: Adult Sunday School (No Children's Sunday School) Sunday at 9:30 AM: Worship Service in the Sanctuary St. John practices open Communion meaning that all who believe in the real presence of Christ are welcomed to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion. We offer two choices for Holy Communion, wine or grape juice. Those worshippers desiring grape juice are asked to place their right hand over their heart after receiving The Body of Christ. If you choose not to receive bread, we have gluten-free wafers available. We also offer the Common Cup available at the altar. If you are unable to travel to the altar and wish to receive Communion at your seat, please speak to Pastor or the Assisting Ministers prior to the service.

Please pray for Gary Johnson as he begins training in September (2016) to become an Authorized Lay Worship Leader. The Lay Ministry training is offered once a month for two years and involves homework in Bible study and sermon preparation and mentoring with me as he learns the practical side of leading worship and preparing Holy Communion. Authorized Lay Worship leaders are trained to lead Sunday morning worship only. They cannot conduct baptisms, funerals or weddings; and they are still supervised by an Ordained Minister. They are required to lead worship in their home congregation at least quarterly and participate in continuing education classes.
